As the oldest state in the nation by median age, Maine has an opportunity to lead the future of aging. That’s the inspiration behind Age Forward, an evening that will bring together business leaders, community partners, volunteers, donors, and supporters to explore what’s possible as we age while celebrating a defining new chapter for Southern Maine Agency on Aging.
The evening will feature a cocktail reception, seated dinner, and a keynote presentation by nationally recognized aging and longevity expert Matt Thornhill, whose work is helping communities rethink aging not as a story of decline, but as one of purpose, contribution, and opportunity.
