Adult Day Centers

Just like home, but with more to do.

Our Adult Day Center provides a home-away-from-home experience for our members living with memory impairments including Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. The Center encompasses the latest in therapeutic approaches in person-centered care, providing a safe environment for members while encouraging socialization, healthy choices, and maximum independence.

The Center also provides family caregivers with critically important respite, support, and education which allows our members to live at home for as long as possible.

Person Centered Programs

Each one of the participants (members) at our Center is recognized as a unique individual. Person-centered activities are designed to honor and engage the individual in ways that will be fun, stimulating, and interesting. Each member's interests and abilities are assessed when they enroll and a menu of therapeutic activities is developed for each member.

Activities offered during a typical day at the Center might include:

  • Watercolor program
  • Current events
  • Pet therapy
  • Entertainment
  • Dance and movement
  • Gardening
  • Poetry
  • Members' newsletter
  • Exercise
  • Music programs
  • Community Service projects

Family Caregiver Support

In addition to respite, the Center provides support for the caregivers to help them address behavioral challenges and the social isolation and loneliness that can accompany caring for a person with dementia. Social workers at the Center and Family Caregiver Specialists also offer educational classes and forums, and support sessions, both group and individual, for caregivers.

Our Center staff is a team of highly-skilled, caring, and creative people. The Center's staff includes a registered nurse, a licensed social worker, a licensed recreational therapist, and other program specialists. Our direct care staff provides a safe, caring environment for our members - just like home, but with more to do!

There is a charge for member participation. Staff will work with families to connect them to state and federal subsidies to help pay for care if qualified. Private pay services are also available.
