Data Coordinator

Southern Maine Agency on Aging‘s is seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) Data Coordinator. Candidate should be comfortable working remotely but also able to report to our Scarborough office as needed. Under the direction of the Director of Program Impact and Evaluation, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely entry of client service data for our Nutrition programs.  This position will work collaboratively with the program staff and volunteers around routine data collection and as-needed training.  In this newly expanded role, the incumbent also works with the Director of Program Impact and Evaluation to help ensure that data collection and reporting for Agency services are as efficient as possible and are meeting or exceeding contract requirements.  This includes but is not limited to identifying areas where data collection, entry or reporting can be made more efficient, as well as assisting in the development, testing and training around new data procedures and reporting dashboards.

Education/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field, or the equivalent in education and related work experience, required.
  • At least two years of experience in a business office required; data entry experience required.
  • Adept with Windows and Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Experience with databases, preferably with client and service tracking databases for community-based programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, assessment, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative to work independently and as part of a team with strong time management skills, and be able to research solutions for new technical problems and needs.
  • Must be highly accountable as work and ability to handle multiple priorities effects client care and satisfaction.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance, along with reliable transportation in order to meet job requirements.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within one week of hire a high-speed home internet connection.
