What do we offer? The Center offers recreational activities to stimulate the mind and body that include daily exercise, games, sing-a-longs, crafts, outings and guest speakers. We offer transportation (six mile radius), showers, hot nutritious noon meals, and AM and PM refreshments. Upon joining our program, each participant has a complete health assessment and evaluation and is then monitored regularly by our registered nurses. If you spend time caring for a lonely older person or you work during the day and worry about leaving a parent, spouse, or other relative home alone, you may wish to consider the Truslow Center as an option. Who Are We? The Truslow Adult Day Center is operated by Southern Maine Agency on Aging and serves the elderly living in the York and Cumberland Counties. We offer a structured, comprehensive program that provides a variety of health, social and related support services in a therapeutic setting during daytime hours. The Center assists participants to remain in the community rather than be moved into a institutional setting. It also, through the provision of respite services, enables families and other caregivers to continue caring for the impaired member at home while still allowing them to continue their own lifestyles.
