Trade a lifetime of experience for the opportunity of a lifetime

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program

What are you doing the rest of your life?

Almost half a million people like you are sharing the lessons they have learned over a lifetime as members of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program. And they're having the time of their lives doing it.

You can get in on the fun, too, by becoming an RSVP volunteer. All you need to do is spend a minimum of 4 hours per week at one of the many volunteer jobs available. You can help with special events and projects or try a job you've always dreamed of doing.

As a volunteer, you do what you want to do. . . when you want to do it. And while you are serving, you are covered by accident and liability insurance.

It's easy to volunteer

Call 396-6500 or (1-800-427-7411 Outside Greater Portland) and ask for RSVP. We will meet you at your convenience to discuss how you would like to participate. RSVP is a "matchmaker," introducing you to opportunities that match your interests and skills.

Put new meaning in your life while you're helping others

As any RSVP Volunteer will tell you, when you share your talent and your time, the gift you give is small compared to the sense of accomplishment and satisfaction you gain. A few hours of your time can make a world of difference to those you help. Let RSVP find you a volunteer assignment that will give you the good feeling of knowing you are important to others. You'll make new friends and stay active.

A little or a lot, your time is valuable.
Let RSVP put it to good use!

RSVP is a national program, part of the Corporation for National Service, the federal domestic volunteer agency. Nearly half a million volunteers participate nationwide; almost 700 RSVP volunteers donate their time in southern Maine. RSVP is funded by federal, stare and county governments, individual and community donations, and the organizations it serves.
