Meals on Wheels delivery begins at 10:30 AM

Scarborough, Maine—The Southern Maine Agency on Aging will announce a significant gap in the number of Meals on Wheels recipients living in Portland, when compared to the percentage of recipients in neighboring Cumberland and York county towns and cities. The Southern Maine Agency on Aging recently began managing the delivery of Meals on Wheels in Portland. Funds, volunteers and community support will be needed to expand Meals on Wheels for hundreds of Portland residents age 60+ who may be eligible.

Representatives of the media are invited to pre-arrange the opportunity to follow a Meals on Wheels volunteer driver on a Portland delivery route on October 17 or another day beginning at 10:30 AM.
