Welcome to Medicare Seminars
The Southern Maine Agency on Aging offers seminars to help you sort through your Medicare options—and to help you enroll. If you are turning 65, consider registering to attend one of these seminars to help you realize the greatest benefits.
Seminar Basics
- Registration is required. Call 396-6500 in the Portland area or 1-800-427-7411 to sign up or send an e-mail (link to form).
- Clinics are offered the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month.
- All clinics are held at the Southern Maine Agency on Aging’s office on 136 US Route One in Scarborough.
- Clinics are two hours long, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
- There is no fee but a donation of $20 is requested.
What to Bring to a Medicare Birthday Clinic
- Your Medicare Card
- Your Social Security Number
- A list of drugs (and quantities) you take
- Income and asset figures (in case you qualify for reduced costs)
- Your current health insurance information
