Volunteer Opportunities

After Age 55

RSVP

RSVP is a federal domestic volunteer program whose mission is to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities for adults age 55 and over to serve communities by utilizing their talents, expertise and experience.

Through RSVP, volunteers have been placed in over 80 nonprofit organizations within York and Cumberland Counties.

The RSVP staff seeks out new volunteers, interviews them, and helps them find volunteer assignments matching their needs and interests.

As a RSVP volunteer, once you have signed up, you can call us anytime.  Some people like to change their volunteer jobs or take on additional assignments.  There are not only long term volunteer assignments, but one-time projects that a RSVP volunteer can work in addition to their regular assignment.  If you want to try out a new skill, advance to more challenging tasks, or just want a change, we will work with you in making a new selection.

If you have a problem or concern related to your volunteer assignment or you are dissatisfied with the organization you are serving, we will help you work it out with them or find you a different place to volunteer.
